I hate doing laundry at school. The laundry room in my dorm is in the basement, which is pretty old and grungy. Even weirder is that the laundry room is a part of the kitchen. Nothing like putting dirty workout gear into a machine while kids are eating noodles a few feet away!
Since I’m only at school for four weeks before returning home for a break, I had made myself I bet that I could make it the whole month without having to do laundry. Today I realized that just wasn’t going to happen, so before class I set my laundry basket in the middle of the floor to make sure I did it this afternoon.
Of course, all of the washing machines were full, so I wound up online instead. Whoops.
I do, however, still have an entire basket of laundry that needs to get done sometime today in between bouts of homework. (Apparently I wear a lot of dark colors?) Here’s to procrastination!
The Weekend
This weekend was incredibly cold – the kind of cold where you walk outside and the wind steals your breath – the kind of cold where you’re shivering for minutes after you’ve gotten back inside. The kind of cold where you just don’t want to leave your bed.
Needless to say, my weekend wasn’t anything too exciting.
Highlights include: getting a head start on a presentation I am giving next week, rereading The Handmaid’s Tale, eating milkshakes while watching the playoff games, and somehow managing to find the motivation to bust out six miles on the treadmill. (I recently downloaded the Netflix app onto my phone, and I think the Britney Spears episode of Glee had a lot to do with my longer-than-usual run!)
There is a big choir festival going on at my school this weekend, so I had two prospective students staying in my room last night. The two girls were up at 6:30 to get ready for their 9am rehearsal. Since I didn’t have class this morning, I had no problem staying in bed as they got ready – I had to give them their space, right?
What was the highlight of your weekend?
What is the longest amount of time you’ve gone without doing laundry?

Milkshake Milkshake Milkshake. Yummmmmm! That’s all I’m thinking about now
THEY ARE SO GOOD. I never should have tried one.. I want one every night after dinner now!
That being said, you should totally make one for yourself.
